The reason for me to pass the Eiken Grade 2 was  because I have rivals.

私のライバルはある私立高校の生徒です。
MY rivals are  private high school students.

「あの高校の生徒ができるのなら、私もできるはず」と思いました。
I thought, "If the students at that high school can do it, then I should be able to do it ."

現役高校生対５４歳の中年おばさん。
Current high school student vs. 54- year-old middle-aged woman.

そして今日、新しいライバルが定まりました。
And today, a new rivalry was settled.

会社の同僚の娘さん、大学２年生です。
It is the daughter of a colleague of mine, a sophomore in college. 

今、大学で初心者向けのTOEICを勉強しているのだそうです。
I heard that she is studying TOEIC for beginners in college now.

これも負ける気がしません。
I don't think I can lose this one either.
