過去問題：Past exam questions

 毎朝TOEICの勉強をしていますが、全く向上していないように感じます。
I study for the TOEIC every morning, but I feel I am not improving at all.

そこで一昨年合格した英検２級の過去問題に挑戦してみました。
So, I tried the past exam questions Eiken Grade 2, which I passed the year before last.

これはテレビドラマの「ドラゴン桜」で東京大学合格を目標にする高校生が、やっていた方法です。
This is the method used by the  high school students in the TV drama "Doragon Zakura", who aim to pass  the entrance exam for Tokyo University.  

勉強に行き詰まったら、昔やったテスト問題を解いてみる。
When they get stuck in their studies, they try solving test questions they did in the past.

以前よりも良い点数が取れるので、実感していなくても確実に進歩していることがわかるのだそう。
They get better scores than before, so they can see that are definitely making progress even if they don't realise it.

私が挑戦した英検２級の結果は、驚くほど簡単に合格点が取れました。
The results of my attempt at Eiken Grade 2 were surprisingly easy to get a pass mark.

もちろん間違いが数箇所あり、加えてリスニングは半分も間違っていましたが、英作文なんてすらすら書けたのです。
Of course I made a few mistakes, plus half of my listening was wrong, but I could write an English essay with ease.

一昨年はあれほど辛い思いをしながら受けた英検でしたが、本当に少しずつ進歩しているんですね。
The year before last, I had such a hard time taking the Eiken, but I'm really making progress little by little.
