暖房：heater

最近、暖房をつけています。

I have been using the heater lately.

今日は10度しかありませんでした。

It was only 10 degrees today.

寝室には、ホットカーペットを敷いています。

I lay a heated mat in the bedroom.

そして、勉強中は机の下で足用のホットカーペットを使っています。

And while studying, I use a foot warmer under my desk.

寝るときは羽毛布団をかけています。

At night, I cover myself with a down comforter.

朝、あまりの心地よさにベッドから起き上がれません。

It is so comfortable in the morning that I can't get out of bed.

毎朝目覚まし時計に幸せをぶち壊されちゃうけど。

My alarm clock destroys that bliss every morning, though.

暖房用の灯油も買わなければいけません。

I also need to buy  kerosene for the heaters.

実は私、灯油の匂いが大好きなんです。

Actually, I absolutely love the smell of kerosene.

煉炭の匂いも大好き。

I love the smell of charcoal too.

秋が来たー！て感じがします。

It makes me feel like, “Fall has come!”

寒いけど暖かい幸せを感じるのです。

It’s cold, but I feel this warm happiness.

これは北国あるあるじゃないかな。

I guess this is just one of those northern things, huh?
