図書館が大好きです。
I love libraries.

私が住んでいる地域には図書館が３つもあります。
There are three libraries in my area. 

最寄りの図書館はその中でも一番新しい建物で、あまり大きくないのがいいのです。
The nearest one is the newest one, and I like that it isn't too big.

足を踏み入れた途端、本達が「私を読んで！」と訴えかけてくるような気がします。
As soon as I step into the library, I feel as if the books are saying to me" Read me!" 

小さいので、生涯かけて全部を読破できそうな気がします。
It's so small that I feel like l could spend a lifetime reading them all.

でも、英語の勉強を始める以前は確かに小説も借りていましたが、今は時間がないため新聞の連載小説を読む日々。
However, before I started studying EnglishI, I used to borrow novels,  but now I read serialized novels from newspapers because I don't have much time.

たまに借りるのは絵本とCDとDVD。
Sometimes I borrow picture books, CDs and DVDs.

そして月に１度ファッション雑誌や生活情報誌を読み、流行に乗り遅れないようにしています。
And once a month I read fashion magazines and lifestyle magazines to keep up whith the
latest trends.

家でばかりしていると飽きるため、英語の勉強をしにいくことも多いです。
I often go to the library to study English because I get bored if I stay at home all the time. 

そうそう、今年、図書館にクーラーがつきました！
Yes, this year, the library got an air conditioner!

今まではクーラーがなくてもいいほど冷涼だったのですが、今年の猛暑で流石に設置したようです。
It used to be cool enough that we didn't need an aie conditioner, but this year was unusually hot, so they finally installed one.
