Long time no see!

３月上旬に県立高校の入学試験が行われました。
The entrance exam for prefactural high schools was held in early March.

毎年、試験の翌日に新聞上で問題と回答が掲載されます。
Every year, tha questions and answers are published in newspapers next day after the exam.

そこで、英語の入試問題に挑戦してみたのです。
So, I tried the English entrance exam questions.

今の高校受験はリスニングや、英作文を作る問題があり、まるで英検と同じではありませんか。
The current high school entrance examnations include questions on listening and  creating English compositions, just like the Eiken.

35歳の同僚に聞いたところ、彼女の時代もすでにそうだったそうです。
I asked a 35-year-old colleague of mine, and she told me that  it was already the same in her time.

私たちが受験した40年前はリーディングのみで、穴埋めと選択だけすればよかったので、
入試問題も随分変わったものです。
The entrance exam questions have changed a lot since 40 years ago, when we took the exam, it was reading only and all we had to do was fill in the blanks and make selections.

結果は３問間違えてしまいました。
As a result, I got three questions wrong.

文法で「あなたは何に興味がありますか。を書きなさい」という問題に対して
私の書いた答えはなんと
For the grammar question, "What are you interested in?" My answer to the grammar question,

Do you interesting?(面白いですか？)

ああ、こんな初歩的な間違いをするなんて私のバカ！バカ！バカ！
Oh, how stupid of me to make such an elementary mistake!  Stupid! Stupid!

満点を取れると思っていたのに、TOEICで３５０点しか取れなかった理由は、老眼だけじゃなかったんだなあ。。。
I thought I could get a perfect score, but the reason why I could only get 350 on TOEIC was not only my old eyesight.
