教会の英会話学校：English Conversation School at Church

モルモン教の教会で行われている英会話学校についての続きです。
This is a continuation of the English conversation school held in the Mormon church.

それは教会の中にある、普通の会議室のような部屋で行われました。
It took place in a room in the church that looked like a regular conference room.

英会話のテーマは２つでした。
There were two themes for the English conversation.

・子供の頃にしたこと
What I did as a child.

・好きなコンビニエンスストアと、好きな理由
My favorite convenience store and why I like it.

生徒全員が英語で話さなくてはいけません。
All students must speak in English.

私が話したことはこんな感じです。
Here is what I spoke about.

 私は子供の頃、冬に田んぼでスケートをして遊びました。
When I was childhood, I played skating in the rice field in winter.

ローソンが好きです。なぜなら、青色がスタイリッシュだから。
I like Lawson. Because the blue color is stylish.

私以外はみなさん高齢者なので、子供の頃をよく覚えていない人もいました。
Everyone is elderly except me, so some of them didn't remember their chaildhood well.

また、コンビニエンスストアを利用しない人もいたため、若い宣教師たちには想定外だったことでしょう。
Also, some of them didn't use convenience stores, which must have been unexpected for the young missoniaries.

後半30分はゲームをしたのですが、これがとても楽しかったです。
We played a game for the second half hour, but it was a great fun.

お祈りから始まった英会話教室は、最後にモルモン教の教えとお祈りで終わりました。
THe English conversation class started with a prayer and finished with a Mormon teaching and prayer.
