同窓会：The reunion

私は高校の同窓会の幹事メンバーの1人です。

I'm one of the organizing menbers of my high school reunion.

今年の8月に15年ぶりに同窓会を行うことにしました。

We have desided to hold our reunion for the first time in 15 years this August.

４人の幹事メンバーの1人は葬儀会社の社員なのですが、

One of the four organizing members is an emproyee of a funeral company,

彼女が言ったのです。 but she was like.

「今はお葬式も結婚式もラインメールで招待するのが普通だよ」

"Nowadays it's common to invite people to funerals and weddings using Line-mali."

いやいや、普通ではない。

No, no, It's not normal.

普通という言葉を使った同調圧力のような気がします。

I feel like a peer pressure using the word  "nomal".

その証拠に、他のメンバー３人は一度もLINEメールでそれらに招待された経験がないのですから。

As evidence, the othre three members have  never been invited via LINE massage.

でも、なんでも挑戦してみるのもいいと思い、今回はLINEメールで招待状を拡散することにしました。

However, we thought it was good to try everything and desided to spread the invitations with Line-mail this time.

幹事４人が送ったLINEメールは瞬く間に拡散した様子。

The LINE mail sent by the four organizers seemed to spread inastantly.

一般的に、５０歳代の参加者は２割程度らしいので、６０人集まれば大成功です。

Generally speaking, it's said only about 20% of the participants are in their 50s, so if we could gather 60 people, it would be a great success.

ちなみに私の高校は女子校です。

By the way, my hight school is a girls' school.
