先日、新聞記者には２種あるとお話ししました。
The other day I told you that there are 2 types  of newspaper reporters.

整理記者は社内にいるので「内勤の記者」。
Arrangement reporters are "inside reporters" because they are inside the company.

取材をして記事を書く記者を「外勤の記者」と言います。
The reporters who do interviews and write articles are colled "outside reporters".

外勤の記者は文字通り、会社の外に出て行く人たちです。
Outside reporters are literally those who go outside the office.

新聞記者は芸能人やアイドルのインタビューができる。
Newspaper reporters can  intervew enterrainers and idols.

もしくは政治家の悪事をスクープしたり、事件の真相を突き止めて犯人を暴く。
Or they can scoop the wrongdoings of politicians or get to the bottom of a case and expose the climinals.

記者ってなんだかかっこいいと思いませんか？
Reporters are kind of cool, don't you think?

期待を裏切るようで悪いのですが、彼らはそのような取材はしません。
Sorry to disappoint you, but they do not do that kind of reporting.

彼らが取材するのは地域のローカル記事だけです。
They only cover local stories of the region.

甲子園の出場校決定とか、お米の作柄とか、今なら県知事選についてです。
They cover the decision of which shcool will play in the Kousien, the rice crop, and the prefectural gubernatorial election now.
